About Awning

Awning is a catalogue of small businesses that sell time — appointments, classes and rentals — where people book on the website or straight from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude.

What you can do here

Find a place by what you need and where: a haircut, a yoga class, a massage, a tennis court, a scooter or a boat for the day. Every business page shows its services, prices, opening hours and free times, and takes a booking without an account. The business confirms it, or it is confirmed at once, depending on how the business works.

If you would rather plan in a chat, connect your assistant: it searches, checks times and books with you, and asks before making or cancelling anything.

For businesses

Owners set up their page by talking to their own assistant, or through a form on the website: services, prices, hours, staff and photos. New businesses are reviewed by the Awning team before they go live, so what customers see is real and current. Listing is free during the pilot. Put your business on Awning.

Once live, a business can add its Awning page as the booking link on its Google Business Profile, Instagram or website, and take bookings from people and assistants in one calendar.

For AI assistants

Awning has a public MCP server at https://api.awning.help/mcp, listed in the official MCP Registry as help.awning/awning. Search, business details, availability and booking work without sign-in; a person's own bookings and business management use OAuth sign-in. Demo listings

A few businesses on Awning are samples that show how booking works. They are marked Demo on their page, have no real address or contacts, and are kept out of search engines. Booking one only tries the service out.

Who runs it
