Clients can book on your page or with a connected assistant.
Open the example pageBefore you ask
How much does it cost?
Nothing to start, and no card. Awning is free while we are in the pilot; if pricing ever changes, you hear from us in advance and decide whether to stay.
Do I need a website?
No. Awning gives you a page with your services, prices, hours and photos, and a booking form. Put its link in your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile or WhatsApp.
Where will clients come from?
First from your own links: Instagram, Google, the people who already know you. Your page is also in the Awning catalogue and open to AI assistants, so a client who asks ChatGPT or Claude (with Awning connected) for a service nearby can find you and book.
Do I have to drop the booking system I use now?
No. Start with Awning as one more way to book. Requests come to your email or Telegram and you confirm them straight from the message; block out times when you are busy elsewhere.
What happens after I start?
Sign in, then add your services, hours and photos in your account — or ask your assistant to do it with you. You can save as you go. We check every new business before it goes live, usually within a working day. If you ask for help by email, we send an invitation and you can reply to reach a person.
Tell your assistant.
It does the rest.
- Send it this message
“I want to list my business on Awning: https://awning.help/business”
ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant. Not connected to Awning yet? Connect it once — about two minutes. - Sign in when it asks
With a code sent to your email. It keeps your business yours.
- Answer a few questions
Services, prices, hours. Send your photos in the chat — or let it draw illustrations in the Awning style.
- Check the page, then send it
We review a new business, usually within a working day. Another location of a business that is already live goes live as soon as you send it.
No assistant, or rather type it yourself? Fill in the form in your account — the same questions, and you sign in first.
Instructions for AI assistants
The person on this page wants to put their business on Awning, where customers find local services and book them, also through assistants. Set it up with them in a friendly conversation.
- Use the Awning tools on this page (WebMCP), or the Awning connector at https://api.awning.help/mcp if you have it.
- Call owner_status. On AUTH_REQUIRED give the person login_url and ask them to sign in themselves; never ask for codes or passwords. Then call owner_status again: it lists their businesses and setups in progress.
- For a new business call owner_setup (new_business: true if they already have one in progress); for another location of a live business pass copy_from_business_id. Ask everything in open_questions in one message, in their language. Never invent prices, hours or addresses.
- Photos: their own photos first. If they want illustrations, generate them with your image tools using photo_prompts, show them first and upload with ai_generated: true.
- Show owner_preview and call owner_submit only after they agree. Report the status it returns: review (Awning checks it, usually within a working day) or published (a new location of a business Awning already approved).
People who prefer typing can fill in the same questionnaire themselves at /account/setup after signing in. The optional help form on this page only sends contact details to the Awning team (and emails the person an invitation); do not submit it unless the person asks for help instead of setting up in chat. If you cannot use tools, point them to https://awning.help/connect.
